Hiya

Can you help me, please

I removed the password, but the OS would prompt for it again and again. I can no longer use neither the old password, no set up a new one

If you don't want to write your password while login , you can use the autologin option. (Users & Passwords settings)

YOU CANNOT remove the password, because then you will not be able to install anything. Installation of software requires a password.

Now, try to reset your password and set a new one with the method described at below link.

Please don't set blank passwords, they are present for a reason.

When I type

mount -o rw, remount /

I get the following error: special device remount doesn't exist

Try to write the command carefully and correct . At Linux everything matters , spaces , dash , commas , Caps or not .. everything.

mount -o rw,remount /

No space between rw, & remount

mount <space> -o <space> rw,remount <space> /
