Upgrade to Seamonkey 1.1.14

Hi
Seamonkey tells me i am using an outdated version 1,1,12 and suggests an upgrade to 1.1.14.
Is this neccessary?
If so how do I go about it?
I am using Kubuntu 8.04 64bit.

You don't need to update to 1.1.14.

Although the latest version available from the Mozilla website is a couple of versions newer than that available from Ubuntu I'd recommend sticking with the version from Ubuntu - all security patches will be automatically available via your normal system upgrade procedure this way.
