Canon PIXMA MG6220 works as wireless scanner with libsane 1.0.23
Thank you for all your effort. I am using Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin 64-bit and performed an apt-get dist-upgrade of my libsane package to 1.0.23 via the sane-backends PPA http://
I am happy to report that my brand new <b>Canon PIXMA MG6220<b> All-in-one printer/scanner is recognized as a PIXMA MG6100 device. The printer works with CUPS 1.5.3 using the Gutenprint 5.2.8 package. The scanner works with xsane 0.998 over my wireless network connection.
I added my device's network URI, a static IPv4 address, into <code>pixma.
$ sudo scanimage -L
device `pixma:
device `net:cups:
device `net:localhost:
I'm very pleased you were able to make this work. Thank you!
If you need a tester for future development, I would be happy to work with you.
