Howto i can activate DSL connection to get internet access with Ubuntu 9.10

The problem is that i am not able to connect to internet in ubuntu 9.10 (DSL connection) unlike i am able to connect in windows XP easily. Please tell me what to do.

the command is
sudo pppoeconf
then follow the instruction

Please open a terminal from Application→Accessories→Terminal and type:

sudo pppoeconf

the system ask you a password give your user password then press enter (you will not see any chars back to yuor screen when you type your user password)

Please follow the pppoeconf instructions to setup your connection.

Might be you will have to do this every time you want to activate your connection due this bug.

well...i knew the command....but didn't try that in 9.10 because i was able to connect to the internet in ubuntu 9.04 by simply filling the username and password.
Anyways... Thanks for clarifying.
