how to edit properties of music files

silly question.. but how do i edit the properties of the music file? i can only rename them, but i can't change for instance the artist and album information..

In order to change the music properties you will need a specific music tagging application, or a media player that includes one. EasyTag should do what you want [available in repositories]

i've downloaded easytag, but still i cannot edit the music properties. do i have to do something to enable easytag? how? thanks.

Wish this feature was built into Rhythmbox. Easy Tag is overkill and not that intuitive. It would be great if you could just edit the required fields in Rhythmbox. In the mean time I'm using Cowbell. That application is simple, easy, and tons better than EasyTag!

Please include this in a future release of Rhythmbox.
