How do I download music?

Never used rhythmbox before, I have no clue how it works. I have only used limewire in the past. How do I download music ?

Rhythmbox is only a music player, it is not like Limewire.

Although you can install Limewire in Ubuntu, I recommend using Frostwire, it is a stipped down version of Limewire without the adware. You can check out their website below. They have deb packages for ubuntu which are easy to install.

It requires java so should make sure that is installed that first.

To install java, open a terminal from Applications-> Accessories-> Terminal and type

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get install sun-java6-bin sun-java6-jre sun-java6-plugin
