My iPod shuffle won't synchronize in Rhythmbox

When I plug my iPod shuffle to Rhythmbox it doesn't show the tracks or any information about the music contained in the iPod. I have tried uninstalling and installing it again but it hasn't changed. I'm using Ubuntu 12.04.

Have you got any ideas how I could solve this problem?

When you last unplugged it, did you use the safely remove feature in the OS befre physically removing it?
Have you triedother media player applications?
What did you 'uninstall then reinstall'?

Hi! Andrew. Problem solved! I just had to reset it from iTunes and now it's working fine on Rhythmbox. Thanx for the ideas!
