The Last.fm plugin doesn't scrobble podcasts

When adding podcasts from the "Podcast" section of Rhythmbox to the playlist it's not scrobbled through the Last.fm plugin.
If I enter the folder on the computer including these downloaded podcasts and that way add them to the playlist, then they get scrobbled - so I imagine there is a block against scrobbling podcasts per se, if so I wonder how to enable it, or otherwise fix it?

SInce this still is a valid question for me, I would ask some help in resolving it. I don't imagine it to be such a complicated answer, but since I'm rather new at these applications a bit of assistance in the process would come in handy.
