Rhythmbox thinks my iphone is corrupted.
Asked by

I have seen this asked but I have not seen an answer. I am trying to sync my Iphone 3G with Rhythmbox in Ubuntu 11.04. It gives me the following message: Rhythmbox has detected a device that is probably an uninitialized or corrupted iPod.
The iphone worked fine when I ran Windows and Itunes. Is there a workaround for this. I do not want to destroy my I phone/ipod telling Rhythmbox to initialize it if there is an issue. I guess I can use a different music player but I actually like Rhythmbox.
