Cameron thanks for the link to Community Documentation there. I didn't realise we already had a page on this :) We seem to be getting quite a few questions about working with Mac and with the new Mac Tablet out i figured i should learn something from the answers section here, thznk :)

Err i meant to say that we enjoy getting questions in this section as it is fun to show off what we know and perhaps learn new things in the process ourselves. I often ask questions in here on some topics and try to answer a lot of questions about my favourite topics as each of us learns a different path.

Please keep asking questions because it is likely that someone else has the same problem but just haven't asked it yet. We were all new once and anyway linux is so vast that no-one is ever going to know everything about it.

We do like giving answers giving links to Community Documentation because that helps us improve the quality of the particular page if it doesn't help you. It's not to say "Rtfm!!" but rather one of us asking if the documentation helps or could it use a little work? I really enjoyed re-arranging things in the LiveCd page a while ago so some feedback about another page might inspire someone to modify that too.

Allegedly, linux forums used to be quite rude and surly, very unwelcoming to new people which would have been an extremely short-sighted and mis-guided but luckily i haven't seen that kind of attitude in the official forums i have visited. I hope you can forgive people that have been too short and rude to you in the past, perhaps they were over-worked or are just embarrassed at their past mistakes. Lets hope so anyway.

to try to lay the ground-work for sorting multimedia issues. It neatly deals with copyright issues for whichever country you are in. I have heard there may be some problems with keeping the non-free components for too long if you live in the USA but i tend to keep them. Hopefully one day i will truly free myself and go completely OpenSource, but not today.
