When will be the qmmp package updated?

I encountered a problem while using qmmp to play some APE files. These play nicely, when played from the beginning to the end. When changing position in the file application crashes with the following error:

qmmp: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/qmmp/Input/libffmpeg.so: undefined symbol: _Z10av_rescalexxx

After some searching I found this: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=657939

My problem seems to be closely related to this bug and, from what I see, it was fixed in version 0.5.3 and thus my question:

When will be qmmp 0.5.3 or newer in official repos?
