pulseaudio hard to configure now audio not workin at all

this seems to be a default setting in ubuntu jaunty setup that makes configuration of onboard audio devices not work correctly in flash player or flash media utilities
This seems to be an ongoing issue with pulseaudio
Pulseaudio default settings do not work well with onboard sound chips
The way it seems is that information for sound is handled
Pulseaudio tries to act as controller and delegate the audio to the Via northbridge and then the realtek driver Alc655 does the sound but OSS driver not working well under pulseaudio

Is there a proper way to set up onboard audio with pulseaudio so it does crash in flash???

The proper way to get audio working correctly is to find the controllers that are used by

cat /proc/pci to see output (in console)
or
lspci (alt command)

Then go to the chip manufacturer site (they often have detailed instructions)

find the correct pulse or alsa drivers and uninstalling the un needed package if installed

Pulse or Pulseaudio on 9.04 is part of the core-util and thus must be uninstalled at root prompt or maintenance prompt

I have submitted reports for this and still had to discover for myself
