Speed up Google chrome
Im trying to speed up Google chrome which installs to /opt/google/chrome by default
I have changed /etc/preload.conf like this (i.e. added /opt to the start of the line)
mapprefix = /opt/;/
but I am not seeing anything in preload.state
Can you tell me what im doing wrong and how i can proper add /opt/ to mapprefix and exeprefix so that preload will speed up all the applications that hung in there
I want to ask about the " !/ " that you have at the end of the line by default . Does this mean that anything is ignored in the root path if it doesnt come in conflict with the previous rules ?
Also whats the difference between " /lib; " and " /lib/; " ?? Im asking because for usr you use " /usr/; " but for lib you use " /lib; " im confused .
One last is , how can someone reset - delete preload's cache ?
Thanks in advance.
