PostGIS update to 1.4?

I was just curious when (if?) the PostGIS 1.3.3 package would be updated to version 1.4. Version 1.4 was released only a few days ago - July 24, 2009. The GeoJSON support in 1.4 would be tremendously helpful!

I have upgraded a test system manually using the download from http://postgis.refractions.net but would prefer to not deviate much from standard Ubuntu packages if I can help it.

I think you should file a bug and ask the team to include it into ongoing Karmic. I aren't used to provide new versions of software for released distributions.
