Ubuntu 11.10 stops responding when suspend or hibernate
I am running Ubuntu 11.10 on an Asus K53E. The system runs great except for two issues. When I suspend the system it goes into a black screen with the LED still on, fans still running but no response what so ever. The same issue happens when I try to Hibernate.
I am running Ubuntu on a 30 GB separate partition of my 500 GB HD. I have Windows 7 on my other partition. To be more specific, of the 30GB partition dedicated for Ubuntu 11.10 I have dedicated 500 MB to my boot partition, 2GB to my swat partition, 10GB to my root partition, and the rest to my home partition. All partitions except for my boot partition are logical.
Here is my system info:
System: Ubuntu 11.10
Memory: 3.7 GB
Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-2430M CPU @ 2.40GHz × 4
OS Type: 64-bit
Disk: 29.0 GB
