MSI u100 w/ Ubuntu OS

Asked by Rommel

Hi there! Can anyone help me with my problem?

After logging-in at Ubuntu log-in screen...the monitor of the MSI u100 netbook would turn all white. The cursor is still active but all I can see in the monitor is White background. Please help me revert back the monitor settings of the MSI u100 netbook!

The problem occurs after I tried to use a LG CRT monitor as my main screen. I remember I made some adjustment in the Ubuntu display option. Now I cannot reload the default settings because after logging-in the MSI u100 netbook monitor would just show all white background. Please advise on how to troubleshoot this!

TIA

if you press ALT+F2 and run:

nautilus

Is it better?

what I did was logged in at my account...then the white screen appeared...then I pressed ALT+F2 but nothing happened. I still have a white screen.

what did I do wrong? what do you mean "and run"? I pressed enter but nothing happened.

please be patient with me because I am a newbie.

Thanks! But I already fixed the problem...

I was reading this article...http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=523549

then I tried to reboot...then pressed escape...then recovery mode...then automatically fix display problems...

Problem solved!
