When will Pitivi be bumped to the latest version?

When will the version of Pitivi be bumped to the latest version in the Ubuntu official repository?
The version that is default in Ubuntu is years old and does not take advantage of the latest changes like moving to GI and GES. It also helps with stability and render speeds.

I suggest you report a bug. If the gains are significant then then package will be updated. Ubuntu is not a rolling release so packages with issues will take precedence over ones with few or none.
