Rendering Instruction

The various rendering format available in PiTiVi are really interesting.
But i have not experience at all on meaning and how to combine them together,
where i can find a list or guide to define container and codecs for different use?
I.e. I would make a AVI DVX what setting should be used ?

Well it really depends on what you want to do with the rendered file afterwards. Uploading to Youtube is different than making files for a DVD or for a PS3... it's a bit trial and error or a combination based on your specific needs, because there are so many possible plugin functionalities (over a thousand, last time I checked).

I spent a couple of day trying different software and different format facing what you say Tons of "Standards" exist.
Hope someone is working to define a common standard for Video, today is a matter for expert only.
I was trying to convert an mpg (h264 Mp3) in something readeable from Sumsung DVD/BD player (BD7200).
PiTiVi is interesting because it can give you several... but it doesn't suggest common standards it could be usefull for a guy like me. At the end I used A Tube Catcher on Window. Thanks
