Remove background noise

Asked by Jasper Frumau

I just recorded my second screen recording using RecordMyDesktop and again I have a second or three of odd background noise. I want to filter/remove this using Pitivi. How do I do this?

I am afraid pitivi does not have such a feature. You can install "audacious" and "avidemux" from synaptic. Audacious can import audio from video and has a noise removal facility. You can export the clip as an mp3 and replace it as the sound track of the video using avidemux.

Thanks for the answer. Will try Audacious some other time. And in the meanwhile I will try to find out why I got the background noise / malformed voice using GTK RecordMyDesktop in the first plac..

i would suggest using Kazam Screencaster rather than RecordMyDesktop
