pidgin and received files

can I change the folder in which are saved the files which I receive with pidgin?
because now they are automatically saved in my home folder, but I'd like to change the destination folder

(I have pidgin 1:2.5.2 version)

Pidgin should save your files to the last folder you have chosen for download. If it does not or does not ask you may try to that folder manually in ~/.purple/prefs.xml node name: / -> pidgin -> filelocations -> last_save_folder.
