laura pidgin don't support webcam...
if you are chatting using msn please install amsn it support webcam...

To install amsn

Please first enable the universe repository:

Open System → Administration → Software sources → [ Tab Ubuntu software ]
enable "Community Maintained open source software (universe)"
Close and confirm the repository reload.

Then please open a Terminal from the menu Applications → Accessories → Terminal and type:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get install amsn

give your user password when requested, you don't see nothing when you type it, then press enter.

You will find amsn under Appllications → Internet → Amsn

Thanks a lots:

it was easy to install, I was using pidgin but it not has a web cam..
amsn is nice and friendly like messenger from windows.

I am a new user of ubuntu (hardy heron)

Yes aMSN is nice...BUT...Too bad aMsn does NOT work (or works horrible) with Ubuntu 11.04 the Natty Narwhal.
