Hi Stefania,

What Messenger are you using in Windows? (MSN messenger? Yahoo? AIM?) Pidgin can work with all of these. For most (if not all) of them, they should automatically be there when you sign in using Pidgin, as they're stored by the server and not the client.

Thank you Andrew, but it seems like not all the protocols that I try to use do work....I'm using MSN messenger, but when I try with the MSN protocol in Pidgin, it does not recognise my password and it cannot connect. Can you help me?

Hey Stefania

Are you sure you've filled the account details in correctly?

'Protocol' should be set to MSN
'Screen name' should be your email address, for example <email address hidden>
'Password' is your password, obviously
'Local alias' is just the name you want every want else to see you as

That should be it..

Are you able to log into your web mail with the account?
