Buddy icons does not show up at all in pidgin

Hello, my problem is that buddyicons in Pidgin (v2.2.1 in Ubuntu Gutsy) does not show up at all. I have "Buddy details" selected and all the other details is shown without problem.

I tryed to completly remove Pidgin (including "~/.purple"-folder) and made a fresh install but that didn't help.

The computer is a laptop and is not behind any firewall or NAT.

I installed Ubuntu Gutsy from the alternate-i386-cd if that matters. I also made a fresh Gutsy-install on other hardware (from desktop-i386-cd) and on that install buddyicons is working, also with Pidgin v2.2.1.

If you need any more details, just tell me what output/loggfiles/etc to send.

try to open the debugging window before you connect your account to server. (Buddy List --> Help -> Debug Window) Maybe u should delete the .purple first to get a useful debug messages.
