Do i need to use a mobile phone to use pidgin CAN I JUST USE REGULAR INTERNET ACCESS FROM HOME FROM USA?

do i need to USE PIDGIN i cant get my buddy list to load or appear and it wont add BUDDIES ON LIST

Can you please not post in caps like that, it's really redundant.

You don't need a mobile phone to use pidgin, you can use a normal wifi connection and the buddy list for your account which you connect with will be used.
