buddy gone from list

i tried to change group for one buddy and i drag and drop his contact to that group.then error happend and i dont see that buddy in old and in now group!

Does re-logging in to Pidgin show him again?

Saying so cause once I too tried moving an entire group (back in days of GAIM) and it disappeared altogether but a restart to the IM Program brought it back.

Can you help with this problem?
