Asked by Felix Ruess

Hi,

I was wondering if there are plans to provide this in precise/quantal or any newer Ubuntu release?

According to Debian Bug http://bugs.debian.org/654196

"This package was used by previous versions of osc and with 0.133.1 it has no use anymore."

If I look at the osc versions in Ubuntu I see

lucid 0.125.3-1ubuntu1
oneiric 0.132.4-1
precise 0.132.6-1
quantal 0.134.1-2
raring 0.136.0-1

So I conclude that packaging osc-source-validator for precise would make sense unless a 1.133.1 or higher version of osc is provided for precise.

I suggest you raise a bug.

Possible workaround: you might try installing the oneiric version of osc-source-validator on a precise system. This can work well (but can also fail because of dependecy problems). According to Debian installing osc-source-validator on quantal would not to provide any benefit.

Can you help with this problem?
