gui has no way of starting openswan

Asked by Mike Beirne

I installed openswan on Ubuntu 11.04 i386 on a Compaq Armada M700 laptop with an Atheros wireless adapter. When I did in the install, it asked for several certificates, but I can't find where it put them or how to start it using them.

How do I start up the VPN from the GUI?

network manager has a VPN software built in. How did you install the openswan software?

Openswan does not have a GUI front end, all configuration is done with the Openswan configuration files:
http://wiki.openswan.org/index.php/Openswan/Configure

The Wiki looks like a very useful resource, and the authors have also published a book, available from Amazon.
