Rebase openssh package for Xenial Xerus to OpenSSH 7.3

Is it possible to update or rebase the openssh package in Xenial to at least version 7.3?

Besides the bugfixes in this release I would like to use the ProxyJump option introduced in this version. See [OpenSSH 7.3]( https://www.openssh.com/txt/release-7.3) for further information.

Since Xenial is supported until April 2021 I guess an update of OpenSSH would be nice.

I suggest you report a bug. If the bug and security fixes are significant then the package will be updated sooner rather than later

There is at least one PPA with such version https://launchpad.net/~alindt/+archive/ubuntu/ppa
Maybe that helps (standard disclaimer for PPAs applies of course).

I don't like to use any PPA because I have to keep track if a certain PPA is well maintained and don't cause any trouble during distribution upgrades. Therefore I'm going to open a bug for this and hope fore the best.
