You can copy and paste the text from pdf file on OOo document or install this software on wine: http://www.jsware.net/jsware/pdfconv.php3

The software doesn't run. It's not possible to install it. Wine is installed. I clicked the downloaded file and choosed open. It flickers and that's it. Any ideas? Thanks.

I haven't tried it, but it is reported that KWord from Koffice is capable of opening PDFs and then saving in .odt or other formats.

KOffice is an office suite for the KDE (like OOo for GNOME) KWord is the word processor of that suite.
David says you may install it, open the PDF file and save it as .odt.
I do not know if it works because I never used KOffice but you might try it.

Hi

I have always found Abiword to be quick and easy when I want to load up a PDF , edit it and then save as a Word/ODT/ODF document.....

For me it is the fastest solution..... buy as they say "Your Mileage May Vary...."
