Images Not Appearing in OO Text Document

I've created a text document in OO Writer with many .jpg images within the text, saved the document, and when I reopen it the images do not appear.
I've read the answer to this question in the OO Answers blog and tried the menu path that was recommended in 2011.
It's now, of course, mid-2016 and their solutioin does not work.
Can you help me, please?
I have OO 4.1.2 in my HP Laptop.

Hi Claude,

It is now almost eight years since I answered Question 419793 and since then Ubuntu has moved from OpenOffice.org to LibreOffice and stopped supporting OpenOffice.org. So most people available to answer questions here will be using LibreOffice

I suggest that you install LibreOffice and start using that. We can then support you properly.

LibreOffice will open all your Apache OpenOffice files.

If you want to stick with Apache OpenOffice, you may get better support from their forum https://forum.openoffice.org/en/forum/
