There's any kind of support copy of the documents, like the .tmp?

Asked by Eva

The saved version of a document I worked some days ago doesn't have the last changes I made in it, I guess I probably closed it without saving the changes. I need to know if there's any way to recover the information, maybe something like a .tmp file or a support copy that I had saved earlier...
I've searched for it using the date when I made the document, and key words that I'm sure I included in it, but I just can't find the information I included in the document in about the last two hours of work.
I really hope you can help me, thanks!

Don't save files to /tmp, this directory is cleaned out on reboot.

I didn't saved the document to /tmp., I just searched in there in case I could find a support copy of the document.
There's any other way to get the information I lost?

Eva,

If I have this correct, you opened an existing document, changed it, did not save the file, and exited OpenOffice.org. Is this a correct rundown of what had happened?

If this is the case, then the file was never saved, and there is no way to recover the 'unsaved' document unless autosave is enabled. In that case you can check the folder
~/.OpenOffice.org2/user/backup.

Inside of OpenOffice if you go to Tools>Options>Load/Save you can enable 'always save backup' and 'save autorecover every' to your desired preferences.

Best Regards,
