How do you turn off auto correct?

I hit something on my keyboard and got a message that Autocorrect had been turned on. Not just spelling, but punctuation has been replaced. Please help me turn off this feature.

Go into "Tools" -> "Options". A window will pop up. On the left part of it, expand the "Language settings" (or something similar, I'm translating from my french setup). Look on the right part of this window to see if you can find the option you want to turn off.
