Thank you for the prompt answer.
My reference on Basic was on "OOo Basic" language reference.
I am battling with "OOo Basic" and if I can get the reference manual it will help to understand this animal.

Hi Luis

You probably need

http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Documentation/DevGuide/Basic/OpenOffice.org_Basic

which is part of the Developers documentation. There is also a special section in the forums

http://user.services.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewforum.php?f=20&sid=f3ab1568d33c82d9ff8e0d7f6bb7db89

Hope that helps.

Tony

I am surprised and disappointed of OOo Basic not have a language reference manual, how they (developers) know what is inside, and how a newcomer going to learn the commands.
I been working in what used to call macros since Lotus 123 and for many years in Quattro is wasn't a language as is today it was just a few commands which work very nicely if you new the command and the syntax, for this it had a very good help file that explained what the command do the syntax and examples, in a few lines you had the thing running, for me it was a very workable tool. Because Quattro that I have is very old I decide to try Ubuntu and transfer my files to OpenOffice but if I can't learn the commandos is complete fruitiness.
Thank you for your help and in future if you find a reference for the commands please let me know.
Regards
Luis

Hi Luis

Please remember that this is a place to help Ubuntu users with OOo problems. It cannot deal with all technical issues. For those, you need to get involved with the OpenOffice.org community itself. I suggest you use the forum link I gave above and ask there if the reference manual you need is available.

Meanwhile, please can you mark this issue as Solved so it is closed properly.

Thank you,

Tony
