Problems editing Fontworks once I've started it. I can't click on it or find a way of touching the word in any way!

I'm trying to use Fontworks, I can open it and choose a style, and have eventually managed to change the default word Fontworks to the word I want, but then don't seem to be able to highlight it in any way to be able to further edit it, move it, etc.

I don't know much about Fontworks. Maybe the answer is here

You should be able to just click to highlight. Another way is to use your mouse to 'draw' a box round it. Put the pointer at the top left of the object, right click and hold and drag the dotted box to the bottom right. Let go and this will highlight the object, or objects enclosed by the box.

Hi Tony

Thanks for the suggestions, I've been trying again and still no luck, I can create new fontworks but not edit them. However, I've now tried doing the same in OpenOffice.orgDrawing, and that works without a problem. The work I'm doing is in Writer. After some more experimentation, I can create and edit Fontworks in Drawing, then copy and paste it into Writer. It doesn't seem to be how it should work, though!

Hi Dawn

Steep learning curve here :) That's what I like about sorting out problems like this - you learn a lot.

Anyway - the answer is to use Crtl+Click to select a Fontwork object to edit it in Writer.

Should be just Click and there is a bug for this with OpenOffice.org's bug tracker

Thanks for this "information", but I think it's not realy solved because everybody who use OpenOffice writer encounter the same trouble un seeks about this... I'm not right?
