nfs-common default

Hello,

On fresh vanilla installs why isn't nfs-common installed by default so NFS mounts can be added? It's installed in RHEL by default, so why not Ubuntu?

Well, the short answer: It is not RHEL. And the Linux distributions differ.

For a long answer we would need to know which version, architecture and selection you have installed. (In other words: which installation media?)

Lots of things aren't installed by default in lots of distributions. It's the nature of the beast.

Few users use NFS so it's not on the default install. Many users will use a web browser so one is included. The default desires of all users cannot be met with a CD ISO so some users will need to install what they need as an additional package.
