Wireless connection timeout
(I've had a look at the FAQs and although there are similar issues, I can't find an exact match and/or the solution is in a language too technical for me).
I have bought a lenovo s10e netbook with ubuntu os pre-loaded on it. I can see my home wireless network when it is booted up (and after I enter the password) and I can also see open networks when I go to a coffee shop or wherever. I then select the network and the message appears that I am connected to that particular network (and the strength of the signal). However when I try to open any webpages (using firefox - pre-loaded) it doesn't load the page and eventually presents the message that it has timed out.
As this happens when using more than one wi-fi network I assume this is a problem with the machine?
I have not used ubuntu before.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
