Is it possible to install nm 1.0 to trusty?

I have read a lot about the features of nm 1.0 (e.g. prioritizing WLANs) and would like to try it on my 14.04LTS system.
Is that possible (at least without a lot of hassle), or do I have to upgrade to 15.10 (or wait for the next LTS which I intend to)?
I tried to find a ppa but I could not.

Just a quick check of the dependencies that network-manager 1.0.4-0ubuntu5 in wily shows, that several dependencies are not fulfilled by the packages that are installed in a standard trusty system.
You would have to (manually) install several upgraded packages on trusty to meet the requirements.

Just one example:
network-manager 1.0.4-0ubuntu5 (amd64 binary) in ubuntu wily depends on
init-system-helpers (>= 1.18~)

init-system-helpers on trusty is 1.14, so you need a package with a higher version.
The next supported one is the package for vivid (1.22ubuntu11).
This depends on perl-base (>= 5.20.1-3)

perl-base on trusty is only 5.18.2-2ubuntu1.1, so you would have to install an updated perl-base package on trusty first.

(Some of the dependencies perhaps can be met by using PPAs.)

So the answer on "Is that possible (at least without a lot of hassle)" seems to be "NO".
