Issue clearing recent list

Asked by Ricardo Lyons

I am new to ubuntu and so far I love it. However, I am still learning a lot of things and could use some help. I am running Ubuntu netbook edition and it is version 10.10. Every time I go to my files and folder tab on the left side it brings up a window that shows my recent documents. How do I clear that recent list. I am not sure if I need to download a program to do it or what. I don't see a settings option or tab so I don't know where to go from here. Seeing how this is quite different from Windows which I am so used to dealing with, I could use a hand. Please help this new guy out! Thanks
