Ubuntu 10.10 Netbook on IBM T30 desktop refreshes contantly

Just installed Ubuntu 10.10 netbook edition on my IBM T30 Thinkpad. The desktop just contantly refreshes and I cannot do anything at all. This occurs right after login. Any suggestions?

Same problem
IBM Thinkpad T30 + ATI Radeon 7500
Cannot use 10.10
Go-home-applet crash on every click
Windows appear in black
