pop up window after move to trash command

after pressing 'delete' from keybord or choosing move to trash after right click the file goes immediately to trash without any pop up window to confirm that i want sth deleted. i'm afraid i may delete files without noticing it..

Files went to Trash are not deleted/erased. They are symply moved to an directory named "Trash".
You can find them there.
What actually deletes them to not being is the command "Delete". I suppose you will have an additional question before deleting files
.
Anyway if you go in Nautilus to Edit-->Preferences-->tab Behavior you can choose what you want.

     I'm on Ubuntu 9.04; not sure if it is the same for all versions, but the trash can is in the lower right hand corner of the screen. Just putting the mouse over the top of it tells me I have 3 items in my own trash can. Double click on it and see if your items are still there. Believe you have to tell the trash can to actually delete them.
