Hello,

Copying files from Linux to Windows is very easy you just need one small program Total Commander and a plugin to it. You ca get it here http://www.ghisler.com/. You just need a plugin to it what you can get on the same page at addons.

If you would like to copy under Linux files from Windows just mount your windows drive. Here is a guide how to mount windows drive http://ubuntuguide.org/

Sorry

I have not read everything in your request, so what I have written to you works when you have linux and windows on the same hard drive on separate partitions.

Thank you for the information. For you it's very easy but for me its nearly impossible without knowings on Linux.
For many years I work with the total commander (formerly windows commander) on Windows. Unfortunately I couldn´t find the plugin you described on "www.ghistler.com". On "ubuntuguide.com" are many thousends of data so that I couldn't find the information I need. At the moment I have no idea how I can get a file copy connection from my virtual disk on Ubuntu Linux to my real disk on Windows

Thank you. L.

Sorry,

I forgot to tell, that I created a folder "linux" and
used the commands "sudo mkdir /media/sharename" and
"sudo mount //192.168.0.1/linux /media/sharename/ -o username=myusername,password=mypassword,dmask=777,fmask=777" and others but I got the message "timed out".

At the moment I see no way for a filecopy from Windows to virtual Linux (USB-Sticks and Drives also don't work no more).

Thanks L.

Hello again,

I know that it is not easy to use Linux, I switched to it 4 months ago, and it was not easy for me to, but with time yo will get used to it. The plugin I said to you is here http://www.ghisler.com/plugins.htm#filesys (search for Ext2+ ; Reiserfs text on page) You will find it for sure. In order to get good support it is better to use irc because there you will get live support. irc.freenode.net #ubuntu channel.

PS. If you have installed the plugin to total commander you will find linux drives under the network section. (If you do not know how to install a plugin go here http://www.ghisler.com/plugins.htm and scroll down)

Hope this helps
