Can't open folders in 8.04 (SOLVED)

I couldn't open any of my folders, and I found a lot of others have had similar problems, per posts here. I didn't find an answer posted but discovered that in "File Management Preferences," under "Behavior," I had "Always open in browser windows" checked. UNCHECKING that item fixed my problem.

Thank you for posting the information here. Would you be able to change the status of answer to "Solved" so that it does not appear in the searches?

PS: I know the title is having SOLVED, but there is a separate field for marking the answer as solved and that helps close the answer.
