EPSON STYLUS R360

How do I get my Epson Stylus R360 to print. I go into PLACES and it describes it as Epson Stylus Storage & when I click on it to set it up I get an error message saying "Unable to mount".

I am running "UBUNTU" in demo mode directly from the CD. Just seeing how it works. I am having a problem with my Keyboard. Some of the keys do not display correctly when the key is pressed.

What you see under Places is the memory card slot on the printer, not the printer itself.

To add the printer you need to go to System --> Administration --> Printing and follow the prompts after clicking on "New Printer". The following page details how to setup printers in Ubuntu:-

However be aware that running off the live CD you may not have the necessary drivers and may not be able to add them because it's a read-only media.

I did eventually find the Printer set-up and went through it but it did not work. It might be as you suggested, there is no driver for it, it is a fairly new model.

Are you using 6.06 (Edgy Eft)? If so, you cannot add printers in the Live CD. In that case, try 6.10 instead.

What is a ppd file? While trying to install my R360 I am asked to open a ppd file but cannot find one!

A ppd is a printer driver. It's possible the driver for the R360 printer isn't on the live cd. The live CD isn't big enough to contain everything that is in the installed distribution.
