DVD not bootable

I just tried to create a bootable DVD with a trial version of Windows because I need windows to do something with my phone. I am on Ubuntu 12.04. I turned off my laptop with the DVD in and hit "esc" then selected to boot from DVD and nothing happened. It booted straight to Ubuntu. Does anyone know how I can make the disk readable on boot? I would appreciate any answers, thanks! :)

Set your BIOS to boot CD first

Check first if you use DVD drive... a DVD won't be read in CD drive ;)
