Why do I not get any sound from ryhthm box?

I select a song from my music folder to play on rythm box. The song plays, but no sound comes from rythm box.

Do you get sound in other applications?

What is the output of:

wget -O alsa-info.sh http://www.alsa-project.org/alsa-info.sh && chmod +x ./alsa-info.sh && ./alsa-info.sh --upload
