dell inspiron 3521 - fan is too loud

i bought dell inspiron 3521 yesterday and the fan is really too loud. i found on the internet that problem can be solved if i update bios. i found bios update drivers only for windows and i didn't for linux. i have ubuntu 12.04.
is it insane to run update driver with wine?

These sites have much information about updating bios in Linux. I saw something about using wine. Hope this helps.

Wine and Windows drivers doesn't work. It's a common misconception. If you look at what Wine is and does it's easy to see why it will not give drivers to your hardware using the Windows drivers. If this were the case then ALL drivers would be usable.

i'll try something when i find somebody who knows more to do it with me, i'm afraid i might do something wrong which is hard to fix.
