cant find 7zip after install,not in applications

I USED ADD\REMOVE TO ADD 7ZIP AND IT WAS SUCCESSFULLY INSTALLED BUT IT DOESN'T SHOW UP IN APPLICATIONS. CAN ANYONE HELP. P.S I LOOKED IN THE bin FILE BUT DON'T RECOGNIZE IT ANYWHERE.

go to /usr and it must present there in bin folder.

In Ubuntu is only terminal-based p7zip (GUI is only for Windows). You can also use default archiver in Ubuntu - File Roller (by installation of p7zip are .7z archives supported).
