All PDF files print as 2 copies side by side on each page and do not show the right side of the doc

Asked by Gene

all PDFs show in print preview as they should but when they print I get each page with the page showing two half pages side by side on each page. I cannot see the right side of the page on either half. I have tried everything I know but cannot get this configuration to change or reset. It used to be fine. In copies where I have an option to"open with" I can used GIMP and it will print as a complete page but some things I do come in directly as PDF that I cannot select this option and thus I cannot print them in a readable form. Can someone please help me. This is very frustrating but likely simple to fix by someone who know anything about Ubuntu.
Thanks,
Gene

Thanks for the help Warren. I actually dumped the adobe reader I was
using and downloaded a new version and this solved my problems but
thanks very much for the response.
