How to re-size a photo

Asked by John Charles

I have a photo on an external drive which I need to re-size.
How would I do that? I can bring it up on the viewer software, but I'm stuck for what to do after that. Thanks.

could install gimp and use that, or do it in command line using modify command from the imagemagick suite

Gimp is a good program but is an entire suite , like photoshop.

If you want only to resize , then install nautilus-image-converter

~$ sudo apt-get install nautilus-image-converter

after install finish , you can right click on image an resize .

Thanks
