file icon X

Asked by bim

I think this is nautilus.

I have been working on a 400KB XLS spreadsheet using Open Office 3.2 Maverick is the Ubuntu in use.

Am trying to work the file in shared disk space which is shared with XP SP2
Recently a new file icon has appeared in the form of a pale green sheet of paper with a faint X in the middle.

When this shows in Ubuntu, the file is invisible to Windows XP.
The permissions on the file all seem to be in order. What is going on?

not directly related to your question. but you should be installing SP3 on your XP.

if it mysteriously appeared and is not visible to windoze, it could be a virus.

Can you help with this problem?
